CHAPTER ELEVEN
“My First Crystal Skull”
I didn’t have to read much before I realized that I was totally fascinated with crystal skulls. I leafed through the book, and then heard my inner voice say to me, “Go to the last pages.”
On those pages were names of crystal caves, crystal shops, and references that were directly related to crystals in general. The name of a shop in Los Angeles really stood out. I immediately telephoned that number.
A male voice answered, “Hello. How can I help you?”
I asked, “Do you have an ancient crystal skull for sale?”
Total silence. After a few moments, I said, “Hello… Are you still there?”
“Yes,” the man replied. “I’m sorry. I don’t know who you are, lady, but there are no ancient crystal skulls for sale.”
Without hesitation, I replied, “You will have one in a short while. This is my telephone number in Costa Rica. Thank you. Goodbye.” I hung up.
I have no idea why I said that! It’s still a big puzzle to me. It was like someone else had spoken through me. I’m sure it had to do with my intuition.
To my astonishment, a few days later, this man phoned me! “Hello, are you the lady who called about the crystal skull?”
“Yes,” I answered.
“My name is Eric Finzi. This is pretty crazy, but a Guatemalan man just came into my shop with a human-sized skull made out of smoky quartz. He wants to sell it. He says it’s been in his family since they found it while digging in their backyard in 1906. He’s now in great need of money.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “Are you sure it’s an ancient skull?” I asked.
He replied, “I don’t know if it’s old, but I can do a simple test to find out.”
“What kind of test?”
“We can’t carbon-date quartz, but I can put the crystal skull into a salt-water solution to see if any metal comes off. Then I can try to carbon-date the metal.”
A couple of days later, Eric phoned me again. “I don’t have the faintest idea how old this crystal skull is, but it certainly isn’t a new one. I can tell you that for sure.”
My intuition had already informed me that this was a genuine artifact. Eric then negotiated the price for me with the man from Guatemala. I decided to buy the crystal skull. “I’ll send you a check.”
“But you haven’t even seen it!” he replied incredulously.
“I don’t need to,” I declared. “I know it’s meant for me.”
Eric asked, “Do you want me to ship it to Costa Rica?”
My intuition told me that it might be best not to send it to Central America. “Please just keep it in your safe.”
We all have this gift of intuition. If we trust and develop it, then we will greatly benefit. However, many people think that we don’t need to be perceptive anymore, since everything is organized for us.
Perhaps we’re too lazy. It’s easier not to have to rely on ourselves or to take responsibility for our own well-being.
